2022 DOG SHOW - The Windy City Cluster hosted with Little Fort Kennel Club:
Was held June 9-13, 2022 and June 15-19, 2022 and was a success.

  • Starved Rock Kennel Club Show Days Wednesday June 15th and Thursday June 16th

ACTIVITIES OF INTEREST TO CLUB MEMBERS:
  • Owner/Canine Fun Events
  • AKC Standard Obedience Classes
    • Puppy - for puppies from 8 weeks old to 6 months old
    • Novice - for puppies and dogs over 6 months of age
    • Advanced - for graduates of previous obedience classes
  • Conformation Classes (dog show handling) - by appointment only
  • AKC Recognized Training Classes (Beyond Basic Obedience)
    • AKC Star Puppy Program - This is a 6 week program for puppies 8 weeks old to 12 months old which can be taken at the same time as Puppy Obedience (separate fee for each class) 
    • CGC / Canine Good Citizen Classes and Testing​ - This is a 6 week program for puppies who have received their rabies vaccine, there is no minimum age limit.  Any pure bred or mixed breed dog may get this certification.

  • PAWS for Reading Program (Marquette Academy (Grade and High School) , and numerous Head Start Programs)
  • PAWS for Seniors Program (Liberty Village, Ottawa Pavilion, PVL)
  • PAWS Therapy Dog Program 
  • Education Seminars offered at our meetings
  • Two (2) AKC licensed dog shows each year (back to back)
  • Annual Christmas Party with Year End Awards for owners of dogs receiving Championship or Performance Titles that year

We are making an effort to present you with our entire spectrum of offers as soon as possible. At this point we can provide you with information regarding the club, training classes, or the dog shows. (SRKC) is a dedicated group of dog owners who do everything in their power to further the advancement of all breeds of pure-bred dogs; to participate in the prevention of cruelty to animals, dogs in particular; and to work in the community to educate the public about dogs through training classes, demonstrations, dog shows and events in the community.
